Biografia È nato a Easton, in Pennsylvania, nel 1963. Incominciò a suonare la chitarra all'età di 10 anni dopo aver ascoltato i Van Halen. Il suo stile musicale fu influenzato anche da Allan Holdsworth. Alcuni anni dopo incomincia a suonare in pubblico con la sua rock band.Nel 1988 Howe decide di inviare una demo alla Shrapnel Records e dopo essere stato sentito da Mike Varney ha la possibilità di registrare un album insieme a David Lee Roth, Billy Sheehan, Atma Anur.Il disco si intitolerà semplicemente Greg Howe e mostra immediatamente le doti virtuosistiche di questo chitarrista.Incide altri due album con il fratello cantante. Nel secondo album solista, Introspection del 1993, si cimenta in numerosi generi musicali come jazz, rock, fusion, funk, e blues.
