Gotye Biografia

Wouter Wally De Backer, noto con il nome d'arte di Gotye (21 maggio 1980), è un musicista e cantautore belga naturalizzato australiano. Ha pubblicato tre album in studio e un album di remix di brani dei suoi primi due album. De Backer è anche membro della terza indie-pop band di Melbourne ad aver autonomamente pubblicato tre album in studio e numerosi altri titoli dal 2002. Ha vinto cinque ARIA Music Awards e ha ricevuto una nomination per un MTV Europe Music Awards come miglior artista per l'Asia e il Pacifico. Il nome Gotye (pronunciato go-tea-yay) deriva da Gaultier, una forma francese di Wouter (Gualtiero in italiano). Biografia Nato a Bruges, Belgio nel 1980, De Backer si trasferì a Melbourne (in Australia) con la sua famiglia quando aveva 2 anni. Fin dall'inizio mostrò passione per la musica e volle imparare a suonare vari strumenti, soprattutto pianoforte e batteria.
