David Crosby Biografia

David Van Cortland Crosby nato il 14 agosto del 1941 a Los Angeles - (California - USA) è un chitarrista, compositore e cantante statunitense. è inserito nella Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Biografia David Crosby è figlio di un apprezzato direttore della fotografia statunitense (Floyd Crosby), Inizialmente frequentò una scuola di arte drammatica, che però lasciò per intraprendere la carriera di musicista ed inserirsi nell'ambiente del Greenwich Village; fu membro dei Les Baxter Balladeers con i quali aveva partecipato anche Bob Dylan. La sua prima sessione da solista si ebbe nel 1963. I Byrds e CSN&Y All'inizo del 1964, con il nome di The Jet Set, Crosby si esibi in vari club con Roger McGuinn e Gene Clark. Il nome fu presto cambiato in The Byrds ed a loro si unirono il bassista Chris Hillman e il batterista Michael Clarke.
