I Becoming The Archetype sono una band New Wave of American Heavy Metal Christian Metalcore fondata nel 1999 ad Atlanta, Georgia. Il loro nome deriva da un verso della Genesi in cui si descrive Gesù come l'architetto dell'umanità. Storia Prima di firmare con la Solid State Records, la band, fondata nel 1999, si chiamava The Remnant e pubblicò un album omonimo autoprodotto. Nel 2005 il gruppo ha firmato con la Solid State ed ha pubblicato il primo album, Terminate Damnation, contenente tracce Metalcore, progressive metal, thrash metal, hardcore punk e black metal. Nel 2006 la band ha annunciato che il chitarrista Jon Star ha lasciato la band ed è stato rimpiazzato da Alex Kenis, ex Aletheian. La band sta attualmente lavorando sul nuovo album che sarà pubblicato nel 2007.
