And Also the Trees è una formazione musicale inglese nata all'inizio degli anni 80.Il genere è un dark rock atipico in cui i testi di Simon Huw Jones vengono recitati su trame tese e livide di chitarra basso e batteria.
Il loro primo disco omonimo del 1984 è prodotto da uno dei membri fondatori dei The Cure, Lol Tolhurst.Dopo alcuni dischi sempre sul genere Virus Meadows del 1986, The Millpond years del 1988, Farewell to the shade (1989), nel 1992 Green is the sea introduce nuovi elementi lounge, ulteriormente ampliati in The Klaxon (1993) e insieme a introduzioni di blues d'atmosfera la fanno da padrone nei successivi Angelfish (1996) e Silver Soul (1999).Nel 2003 pubblicano Further for the truth che recupera e amalgama nel loro stile le vecchie sonorità oscure. Nel 2005 viene pubblicata una raccolta di successi 1980-2005.Il loro decimo album intitolato (listen for) the Rag and Bone Man esce nel novembre 2007 anticipato da un mini tour europeo.
