Gli Agent Steel sono una band speed metal di Los Angeles, California formata nel 1984 dal cantante brasiliano John Cyriis e il batterista Chuck Profus. Storia Scalata al successo Nel 1983 fu pubblicato un demo di una band speed metal chiamata Sceptre che conterrà due delle future canzoni degli Agent Steel: Taken By Force e 144,000 Gone. Il chitarrista di questo demo era un certo John Camps che diventerà John Cyriis, il fondatore degli Agent Steel.John Camps lasciò gli Sceptre e si unì per breve tempo agli Abattoir come cantante prima di fondare con il batterista Chuck Profus i Sanctuary, che divennero presto gli Agent Steel. Mark Marshall e Sill Simmons divennero i chitarristi di questo gruppo mentre George Robb ne fu il bassista. Questa formazione registrò il demo 144,000 Gone nel 1984.Dopo questa pubblicazione divennero chitarristi della band Juan Garcia e Kurt Colfelt, con i quali la band pubblicò il primo album, Skeptics Apocalypse, con la Combat Records nel
